Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about our QR and barcode tools.
Are the QR code generators free?
Yes. The basic QR code generators are designed to be free to use without an account.
Do you store my QR code data?
Ordinary QR generation is designed to avoid permanent user storage. Some requests may pass through the server to create the image, while browser-based scanning can happen locally.
Can I use generated QR codes commercially?
You can generally use a generated static QR image for lawful commercial purposes, but you are responsible for the encoded destination and any trademark or content rights involved.
Do QR codes expire?
A static QR code does not have an inherent expiration date. If it contains a URL, the destination can become unavailable or change.
What is the best QR code size?
It depends on the scanning distance, data density and printing quality. Test the actual final size rather than relying on a fixed universal measurement.
Which barcode should I use for products?
Use the symbology required by your retailer, marketplace or supply-chain system. EAN and UPC are common retail formats, while Code 128 is common in logistics and internal labeling.
Can I scan a QR code without uploading it?
Yes. Our camera scanner is designed to work in the browser. Browser support varies by device and permissions.
Do you guarantee AdSense approval?
No. No website builder can guarantee Google AdSense approval. We design for Google's published requirements, but Google makes the final decision.
